Boy, this is Good Pizza. The wife wanted to stop here for dinner, so I obliged. This is your usual bar-cum-pizza / pasta place, so it's got a "bar-ry" atmosphere. With that said, the service was good, and the pizza was very good. If you order your pizza with everything like we did, be prepared for a loaded pizza - like every square inch was loaded. The Italian sausage was very good, and the pepperoni was tasty as well. Add in the veggies and the snappy sauce, and you have a really good pizza. Try it out.

GREAT FOOD - HORRIBLE WAIT TIME. I have been there several times, but I've stopped dining in and just order take out. The food never disappoints and I've tried too many things to list. The deep dish pizza is the best around. However, I've never been in and out of there in under 90 minutes. I don't know what the problem is - but it is one of the slowest places I've been to.

Amazing food!!! The pizza was great!! Very fresh ingredients! Panini sandwich with Turkey and artichoke was awesome! It would be nice if it was not just a bar though. I would really like if they would make this place a little less casual so we could dine in, don't really like eating in the bar atmosphere. But it is nice and clean.
I really want to love this place but it's just not there for me. This is my review based off of 2 visits, one for carry out, one for dine in. (I suggest carry out) PROS- good food, large portions, prices are appropriate. CONS- slow dine in service, music was too loud, dirty dishes My first experience here was great, I called in a pizza for carry out on a Saturday night and was able to pick up within 20-25 mins, I am new to town so I ordered something that had a previous good review "Momma's Homestyle Pizza". We got the 16 inch with 3 toppings for about $23, this pizza was HUGE and loaded with toppings and cheese! This one pizza could have easily fed 2-4 people! The crust was homemade, fresh!! Defiantly not something frozen or packaged. I got home and weighed the pizza and it was a little over 5lbs! My second visit was less than pleasant. My husband and I stopped in for dinner, because we wanted to try something else on the menu besides pizza. Our waitress seemed to have better things to do, and the other waitress was sitting at the bar eating, playing on her phone. We ordered the pepper jack mac-n-cheese bites for an appetizer, then both had the philly cheese steak sandwiches. The sandwiches were good, fries were good, sweet potato fries were good and my husband had a cup of chili and it was canned chili. It took maybe 25 mins or more for 2 sandwiches to come out. The music was turned up so loud we could barely talk, and this was on a Sunday night. Also, the booth is sat in was broken? Very uncomfortable and I had to sit either on the very inside or outside of the seat. We will no longer come into eat, maybe sit at the bar and grab a beer while we wait for our carry out pizza.

The wait staff was nice. Our waitress was nice and the restaurant itself was pleasant. The food was just not....that great. I found the portobello mushroom appetizer strange with the ground beef and bacon on the top of it. It was good with the cheese, but the meaty aftertaste didn't quite match. The mac and cheese bites were awesome, though. My glass and silverware were dirty, but my waitress had no problem wiping the crusty whitish-yellow stuff from the edge of my glass. My pasta primavera was bizarre. The menu said it would have fresh garden vegetables topping it. I've just never seen black olives, peppers, and onions baked in cheese piled on top of plain, cooked noodles before. Without the overload of onions and peppers, the pasta itself was tasteless. The food that I had just seemed somewhat...lacking and almost experimental. From other reviews, it seems like the pizza and calzones are where the true taste is, so I'll have to get something different if I come back.

First time going in Rachettis. I had the Sicilian sandwich. It was very good although it was not "covered" in mozzarella like the menu read. Not a lot of meat but the bread was really good. Garlic butter and toasted. My friend had the Philly steak sandwich that was twice the size of my sandwich. It was very salty. The French onion soup tasted like Au jus and had red onions in it, tasty but not real French onion soup. I would love to show them how to make real soup. We had the canolis for dessert. They need to back off of the Hershys' syrup. They were very good. Crunchy and sweet. The restaurant itself is very divey with country music on the juke box but the booths are big and comfy. A bit torn up though. Our server (Rachel) was very friendly and nice. She recommended the Palermo the next time I come in. Overall if you're looking for a divey place with yummy food and friendly service, I would recommend Rachettis.

If you ask me, it's THE BEST pizza in Grundy County! Best staff in town!! They opened an additional place in Jefferson Georgia and when I'm near Atlanta again, I'll be there too!!

BEST PIZZA IN THE AREA!!! Crisp crust, golden cheese, fresh ingredients. I've also tried several of their paninis and have never been disappointed; the Caprice is my favorite. We always order to go, so I can't comment on the wait staff, however, they are always very friendly when we are picking our order up. For pick-up they usually tell us 25 minutes and we've never waited more than 2-3 minutes longer for our order. The restaurant and the bar area both appear to be very clean. I moved here from Chicago and have tried every Pizza place in this town & the neighboring towns and Rachetti's is the only one I would recommend.

This is a great spot in Coal City on Broadway. The interior space is great with natural light coming in from outside. We like to go for lunch on occasion with our kids. The serving staff is super friendly. My only semi-complaint is price - especially for the kids menus. It would be great to see promotions or specials on occasion - i.e. kids half-off night once a week. That said, the food is great. Love the beef sandwich and pizza. We've even had catering for a birthday party which was also fantastic - LOVE, LOVE their chicken. All and all, great food, friendly service, but priced on the higher side of the spectrum... Again, maybe the owners could take a look at specials or occasional coupons for pizza. etc.? Post the specials outside on a board? We'd like to dine here more often with our family and friends!

Absolutely delicious! We had the burger with sweet potato fries and it was cooked exactly like we ordered them and were piping hot. Fries were good too. Veggies were fresh and crisp and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. They have what seems like an extensive beer/drink selection that I'll have to come back for. The only negative thing I would say is the server didn't ask what we wanted on our burgers. (you have over 30 items to choose from) Finally, our bill was about $10 a piece with drinks. Not too shabby at all. We'll be back!

Excellent thin crust pizza, and the Philly Cheese Steak sub is awesome. We have a place in Shadow Lakes so we're always trying places in Coal City, Wilmington and Braidwood. Rachetti's is the best pizza and subs we've found over the past 6 years. I highly recommend this place - and they deliver! They do tend to space out about half the time if you order a salad with your pizza or subs. We assume the salad is set off to the side and they just walk out without it. Love the food, try to bring the salad when you deliver. (The antipasta salad is quite good.)

When they are on they are on. We have have had very good pizza and also a few that were just barely ok. Consistency is a problem along with poor service eating in (which we won't do anymore).

The pizza and food at this place really has trumped the competition. Fresh vegtables and quality items make up their dishes. A definite step above the other guys in town. Generous portions as well. We have stopped in and eaten in the little dining area they have created just to get out of the house. Laid back atmosphere and easy on the pocketbook.

What can I say?! Great little Italian spot in Coal City, IL. The quality of Chi-Town in a south, SOUTH-west burb. And don't let the name fool you...They have MUCH MORE than pizza! Delicious recipes, exquisite pizzas and pasta dishes of all types and the beef is superb! Don't be shy! Experience the uniqueness, freshness and quality that IS Sam's Pizza. OH! And did I mention the Canoli's are to die for!!!! Great job Danny & Matt!!

One of the best places to eat in CC. Got a panini & cesear salad for lunch to split with my husband for only 11.50! Not only was it a great price, it tasted great too! Can't wait to try the other items on the menu. Only complaint would be that the tables are too high to dine-in with a toddler that still needs a highchair so we will be doing most of our dining through carryout. : )

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Ribeye Steak sandwich review.... I hate doing this because the pizza was awesome but the steak sandwich sucked! It was sliced like strips of fajita meat. It says 8oz prime cut of Ribeye... Not sure what that means. This was not usda prime. If it was why would slice it? Look at the photo... Random pcs of steak with gobs of cheese and sautéed red onion (not caramelized onion which is dark slow cooked til the sugars caramelize). And there was no side of horseradish sauce as advertised. Took two bites and tossed out the car window... You can find it in the north side of 113 near Dogtown Rd. Recommendation to the cook caramelize the onions and use yellow, not red onions. Leave the steak whole. I wanted a steak sandwich not a fajita. And ease up on the cheese, or leave it off, so we can taste the meat. And don't forget the side of horseradish. Then you will have a winner! Thin crust pizza was fantastic and deserved 5 stars! That is the only reason I didn't give one star on the steak sandwich.
